Regional Meteorological Centre located at Dr. Ambedkar International Airport Nagpur-5 is the nodal office for the public to obtain any information pertaining to India Meteorological Department and its various offices located in the three states viz. Maharashtra(Vidarbha), MadhyaPradesh and Chhatisgarh.
At Regional Met. Centre Nagpur-5 a Right to Information cell has been functioning to meet IMD's requirements under RTI Act.

A request for obtaining information under RTI Act must be accompanied by an application fee of rupees ten by way of cash against proper receipt or by demand draft or bankers cheque payable to the Pay and Accounts office payable at Pune. In addition rupees two for each page created or copied should also be paid. For information provided in diskette or floppy rupees fifty per diskette or floppy and for information provided in printed form at the price fixed for such publication or rupees two per page of photocopy for extracts from the publication.
